My work is deeply rooted and connected to the way we share our identity, visually and internally. As a costume designer, I am often tasked with putting myself in a character’s shoes, where a character's identity, race, gender, and socioeconomic background differ from my own. My role as a costume designer enables me to facilitate important conversations between audience members and what these characters represent.
