Kate Hamill's adaptation of Dracula explores the experiences of women in 1897 and today, highlighting how little has changed in terms of patriarchal influence and oppression. Through the stories of three different women, we see the impact of a male-dominated society on their lives. The play combines humor, terror, and bravery as we witness Van Helsing and Mina fight back against the vampires and reclaim their freedom, redefining womanhood in the process. The costumes in the play have a antique feel, blending the styles of 1897 with a modern silk twist.
